The pictures do not do these justice. Just delivered this morning, I have rarely been so excited to receive a package and they did not disappoint, if anything they were so much better than I had dared hope. Yes they are unusual, yes they are, given the British weather, a little impractical but I don't care, they are beautiful. On top of that they are very comfortable . I am not looking for a reason to wear these and I thing the best one will be the standard "day with a Y in it". I ordered the red and they are a very dark red, close to a burgandy and I ordered a size up which I think was a good idea as they are certainly not to standard UK size
