Bought this in purple, medium. It's cinched in at the waist. The detail on the collar is not kitsch, was worried it would be more motivate. To be fair it's a lovely detail. It feels like a light denim & comes over the waist onto the hips. My daughter is 5'6" (size 10/12). If I wore it, it would most likely come over my bottom... I'm 5'2" (size 14)
